June 22 is not just another day on the calendar. It is the Day of the African Child — a solemn call to remember and respond to the millions of African children who live under the weight of hardship, yet carry the quiet courage to dream.

This year, the Jumpstart Academy Africa Scholars have embraced this call with a powerful promise. They will visit the Grace Tait Shelter orphanage in Bamenda — a place where vulnerability meets resilience, and where hope must be fiercely protected.

The theme, “Planning and Budgeting for Children’s Rights: Progress Since 2010,” serves as both recognition and challenge. While progress has been made, many children are still denied basic opportunities, trapped in circumstances that suffocate their potential and silence their voices.

Our scholars’ visit is more than a celebration. It is a profound commitment to listen to these children’s stories, to nurture their dreams, and to open doors through creative expression and skill development.

Every child deserves more than survival — they deserve to flourish. Yet, none of this is possible without the collective compassion of a community that cares.

Your support, no matter the size, is a direct investment in lives that can shape a better tomorrow. It will provide nourishing meals, crucial educational materials, and a supportive environment where every child feels seen, valued, and hopeful.

Join us in turning empathy into action. Together, we can lift children out of the shadows and into a future filled with promise.
